> You’ll be aware that the City Deal Board recently passed the Chisholm Trail proposals for consultation, which means they will be holding a number of public events between 19 October and 19 November.  The Chisholm Trail is the proposed North-South cycleway, of which the bridge at Ditton Meadows is an integral part.

> It is vitally import that we keep a high profile at these events, making people aware of the drawbacks of the proposals, of the possible alternative routes and of the other cycling projects where money could be better spent.  We are fighting a very hard-to-win battle: a petition in favour of the bridge (which is being promoted by council officers!) already has over 700 signatures, versus our 650.

We are particularly looking for people who are willing to talk to attendees about the reasons for our objection to the bridge, and to help gain signatures on our petition.
