[Discuss] Greens in central Cambridge Litter and Barbecues

Dear John,

We should surely have a proper policy. Do we allow fires of any type - or
not. The byelaw says NO but liberal demmery seems to deliver ' well if
they're not doing any harm" , well they are doing harm and you can't tell
until they've gone how much burning has happened.

Trouble with Wait and See is that the notices can arrive all mealy mouthed
and well intentioned but people given a loophole will go right ahead and
light fires. Can we not influence the wording BEFORE they're printed?

For heaven's sake can we not just enforce the bye law like the rest of the
world. I'd like to see you in the Royal Parks with your barbeque, no way
