As is all too often the case the website seems to assume that people will be coming by car. However there is a bus (route 18) leaving Drummer St at 17.15 arriving in Grantchester at 17.28. But there are no return buses after 18.25 (or 18.58 to Cambourne). Of course one can walk along the riverside route back to Cambridge, though we aren't told how long the visit is to last (as one wouldn't want to do this in the dark). I have looked through both the Cam Valley Forum and Trumpington Farm website but have been unable to identify the location of the visit (or whether it is accessible by public or permissive paths at other times). Maybe it has easy access to the Trumpington Road, which is served by park & ride buses till about 8 and also by the Citi 7 hourly till late evening. I myself will need to be in London that evening so, Jean, can you please give me some guidance as to the best way to get there from the visit -- and as soon as possible as I have other arrangements I will need to make if I am to come. Alternatively, are there likely to be further opportunities to visit the site on other occasions -- hopefully with explicit tie-ups with public transport ?
