  Dear all,

CambridgepPPF very much welcomes a wider debate and indeed today we have
talked with lead councillors on how to improve tree management on a
city-wide basis so that current and future generation can also benefit
from trees and a quality green city environment.

We certainly would welcome a positive debate on wider tree issues -
i.e. from planning policies to management as well as looking for local
people being able to support tree planting and management etc through a
designated public fund and activities etc. - particularly in view of the
current economic climate we are keen to see that more funding is
provided for local tree and green space management rather than further
reductions..

With the intention of the City to undertake a review of tree strategies
and/ or policies there will be a chance for people to comment and to
ensure more trees are growing in the city - whether on public or private
land.

Regards Carolin
